Poster Competition – Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility
1.1 The competition is open to individuals aged 6 years and over.
1.2 Entrants under 18 years of age must obtain parent or guardian consent. Consent must be confirmed via the online entry form. The Narrogin Agricultural Society (NAS) reserves the right to request proof of consent.
1.3 NAS reserves the right to request proof of age from shortlisted entrants to confirm eligibility.
2. Entry Conditions
2.1 All submissions must be the entrant’s original work, and the entrant must hold full ownership rights to the artwork.
2.2 Entries must be submitted via the official entry form available on the NAS website.
2.3 Each entrant may submit up to three (3) entries.
2.4 Entry to the competition is free of charge.
2.5 Entries must be submitted by 9:00am, Monday 11 May 2026. Late entries will not be accepted.
2.6 Artwork specifications:
- Format: JPEG, PNG or PDF
- Orientation: Vertical A3
- Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI
- Maximum file size: 5MB
- A 6 cm strip at the bottom must be left blank for sponsor logos and additional information
2.7 All designs must include the following text:
- NARROGIN AGRICULTURAL SHOW 17 OCTOBER 2026
- Tracks, Trains and Traditions
2.8 The artist’s name must not appear on the artwork. Authorship will be acknowledged through official NAS communication channels.
3. Theme
All entries must align with the 2026 theme:
“Tracks, Trains and Traditions”
4. Judging Criteria
4.1 Entries will be assessed by a panel of NAS-appointed judges.
4.2 Two winners will be selected:
- One Junior Winner (Under 18 years)
- One Senior Winner (18 years and over)
4.3 Judging will be based on:
- Originality and creativity
- Alignment with the theme
- Visual appeal and promotional suitability
- Clarity and presentation of text
- Accuracy of spelling
4.4 The use of AI-generated artwork is not permitted. Entries must reflect the entrant’s own artistic ability.
4.5 The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. Prizes
5.1 The Junior Winner will receive $100, and the Senior Winner will receive $200.
5.2 Winners will be notified within two (2) weeks of the closing date.
5.3 Winners will be invited to attend the official opening of the Narrogin Agricultural Show on Saturday, 17 October 2026.
6. Intellectual Property and Usage Rights
6.1 Ownership of the winning artwork, including all intellectual property rights, will be transferred to NAS upon acceptance of the prize.
6.2 NAS reserves the right to reproduce, modify, and use the artwork for promotional, marketing, or commercial purposes without further compensation.
7. Liability
7.1 To the extent permitted by law, entrants release NAS and its representatives from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from participation in the competition.
8. Display of Entries
8.1 All submitted entries may be displayed at the Narrogin Agricultural Show Exhibition Hall.
8.2 Only winning entries will receive prizes.
8.3 All displayed works will be credited to the artist.
8.4 NAS committee members may enter the competition but must declare their involvement in the entry form.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
