What’s new in 2025

“Where’s the Sheep?” is a fun and meaningful theme that celebrates the role of sheep in our local history, economy, and culture — and sparks conversation about the future of agriculture, sustainability, and rural life.

This playful question invites our whole community — from schoolkids to farmers — to reflect on where sheep belong in the evolving story of rural Australia. It also connects to the national Keep the Sheep campaign, which raises awareness about the challenges facing wool producers and livestock exports.

Through competitions, art, performances, and hands-on exhibits, we’re asking everyone to explore:

  • Where have the sheep gone?

  • What do they mean to our identity?

  • And how do we bring them — and our farming spirit — back into the spotlight?

🎨 Get involved!

  • Enter creative competitions

  • Join the Sheep Hunt through town

  • Celebrate wool, nature, and imagination

  • Bring the whole family on 18 October 2025 for a day of discovery and fun!
